and stay in budget.
It happens to the best of us, and it happens almost every season. Our favorite fashionistas scour the web to find the newest and cutest items and trends and share them with us. Then suddenly, another blogger has that adorable pair of shoes, or that "it" bag, then another, and another, and suddenly, you feel like you have to have it. You follow the link to find out how you can get one too, but hesitate to purchase. Do I really need it? Is it worth that price?
This happens to me all too often, and if you are also like me, you have a budget to be mindful of.
As a woman who likes to shop, a blogger who needs to present new and exciting products for content, and a wife who wants to be respectful of her household budget, these have been tricky waters to navigate. I can't tell you how many times I have looked at items online and my husband asks, "Are you shopping again?" To which I reply, '"No, I'm just browsing. Shopping involves purchasing, and I am not." To which I usually get an eye-roll in response. Over the years, I have had to master the art of shopping without impulse buying. Here are a few tricks I have learned over the years, and no matter where you stand on the shopping spectrum, I hope you'll find some useful tips.
I am SO excited to announce that I have had the opportunity to be a guest blogger for The Identité Collective!
The Identité Collective is Austin's premier resource for beautiful branding, web design, and content creation for boutique lifestyle brands founded by Anastasia Casey. Today on her blog, I am sharing about my journey to clean beauty and 7 simple steps how you can implement this change, too!
You can read the post here.
I feel very strongly about making this transition, especially as I get older and closer to starting a family of my own. I want to make a swift change to cleaner beauty and personal care products and hopefully help my friends and loved ones along the way. I hope you’ll join me on this wellness journey to learn and live better, cleaner lives together!
Little bitty love,
One of my personal goals for the new year and for my blog is to join the conversation about wellness. According to Merriam-Webster, wellness is defined as, "the quality or state of being in good health especially as an actively sought goal." Common examples are healthy eating, exercise, and rest, but wellness can be manifested in many different forms. One thing I am learning as I get older is that wellness is so much more than diet and exercise. Wellness can (and should) include things like our mental, emotional, and spiritual health, the products we use in our personal care regimen, and our overall physical health, including our eye health.
A "little bitty" life and style blogger pursing my passions, wellness, and Jesus in Austin, Texas. Around here you'll find affordable, everyday style inspiration, clean beauty and self-care products, home decor, and more!
