Spring has officially graced us with its presence, and just like that, it's time to prepare for a new season! Thankfully, we haven't had to endure the harsh winter here in Austin like many others in various parts of the country have, but I still can't deny the excitement I feel at the promise each new season brings. One fun way to prep for a new season is by starting with your closet, doing a little spring cleaning, and trying a new trend!
One classic trend that I have been loving lately, and am totally on board with this season, is the gingham trend. This should come as no surprise, as the most common, classic gingham combination is navy and white, my favorite color combo (haha)! This print can be styled bold, or understated, can be dressed from a day at the office to a night out with the girls, and can take you straight from spring to summer. It didn't take long for me to find several cute pieces from some of my favorite brands that I would try for this trend, and the majority of the items I found are under $60 each!
There are so many cute and affordable options for a fresh take on this classic print, so it makes it easy to try something new, even if it's just for a single season. I'm surprised I don't already have more of this famous print in my closet because it is so my style, but I'm excited to try incorporating a few pieces into my closet this spring and summer, and find new ways to transition them to future seasons as well.
What are your thoughts on this summery print? Do you love it, or does it make you think of ants at a picnic, too? (;
