Envision yourself finally getting home after a long day, brushing the autumn chill off your shoulders as you walk through the door, starting a fire in the fireplace, and cozying up beside it with your loved ones.
Is there anything better? Add in some Frank Sinatra or Vince Guaraldi Trio playing softly in the background, a glass of wine, and a charcuterie board, and you have the makings of a perfect, cozy fall or winter evening at home in my opinion. I am so excited to be collaborating with Wayfair to bring you just the right pieces to help make this vision a reality.

It's officially "baby month" and while I don't feel like I have experienced true "nesting" yet, I do feel like my husband has taken on this responsibility. He has been so hard at work these past few months trying to finish all of the projects in and around our house before baby arrives. While we know we won't be able to complete all of them before his arrival, we have made great progress.
One of the spaces that needed extra attention was our formal dining room. We never planned on using the space as formal dining, as we wanted a more open-concept, casual living and dining space that flowed from our kitchen into the living room. Instead, we envisioned utilizing this room as a den or home office. Last month, we finally decided to tackle designing and furnishing it. If you need help designing and furnishing your home office space, look no further than Havenly's Austin based interior designers! It's been about a month and a half since we moved into our new home, and while we are still getting settled, we have been enjoying every minute that we get to spend here. Although our to do list is still quite long, we are taking things a bit slower this season and enjoying our life, our new home, and quality time with family and friends. It seems with each passing year life tends to get busier in the fall, and as soon as the highly anticipated holidays arrive, they are over before you know it.
When Ryan and I were first married, I had every intention of sending out Christmas cards to all of our loved ones with beautiful photos from our wedding. Because it was the busier time of year, and we had our honeymoon and so many pre-planned events, and then the holidays, time slipped away from me and I never got around to it. Fast forward six years, and I still haven't "gotten around" to it. We started to joke that having never sent Christmas cards before, we might as well wait until we have something really exciting to announce before we send any out. Now that we've moved into our new home (and have a new address), we want to share that excitement with our loved ones, so this seems like a good excuse to finally get around to it! Which is why I am so excited to partner with Basic Invite to show you all a peek of our very first Christmas card! |
