I am so excited that Thanksgiving is just a few days away! I love having the opportunity to take some time to enjoy this special season and spend it doing things I love like spending quality time with family, searching for new recipes to try, cooking, baking and eating, reading, playing games with the fam, enjoying the cooler weather, and cozying up at home with a cup of chai (my favorite!)
Lately, I have found myself cozying up with one item in particular, this soft, ribbed cardigan I received courtesy of Pom Pom Fashion. I'm convinced one thing your wardrobe can't have too many of is cardigans. Because it's rarely cold enough to need a true winter coat in many parts of Texas, cozy cardigans will do just the trick when the temperatures drop to keep you warm and looking stylish. I love how versatile cardigans are especially in a neutral color like this oatmeal one. It's so easy to wear them multiple ways, and I have already worn this cardigan layered with a blouse and skinny jeans to work, with flannel and leggings on the weekend, and over a plaid dress with boots to church. The highlights of this cardigan are its slightly over-sized fit which makes it perfect for layering, the long, handkerchief hem that is so flattering, and how warm it is.
We will be heading to Ryan's parents' house for Thanksgiving, and this cardigan will definitely be coming with me! I can't wait to eat deep fried turkey, cornbread dressing and all the fixings, try out a new pie recipe for dessert (see what recipes I'm pinning here!), and savor the colder weather while it lasts.
I hope y'all have safe travels wherever they may take you this week!
